Come join us at MEDA’s first World Market Night in downtown Lancaster on Friday, May 19th. The market will be showcasing international cultures, foods, music, artistry and MEDA’s business solutions to poverty. The festivities will be held from 6-10 pm. Our SWAN students have been invited by MU STEEL to open for their group at 8:15 pm. Bring friends, enjoy cultural music and travel the world without leaving Lancaster!

Also, be sure to stop by and say hello to our staff at the SWAN table.

Schedule of Music at Binns Park:

6:00 pm – Klazz-Ma-Tazz, Rooted in the jazz idiom, this music reflects the influences of folk music from around the world.

7:10 pm – Evangelical Center for Revival Church Worship Team, You will want to dance to the festive African rhythms and sounds from this lively band.

8:15 pm – MU STEEL, This unique and exciting ensemble specializes in traditional pan music from Trinidad and Tobago and island party music. SWAN students will open for and collaborate with MU STEEL!

9:15 pm – Los Monstros, Hear your favorite current hits, and re-arrangements of classic songs in a way you’ve never heard them before! Popular American love songs will be featured along with classic salsa, bachata, merengue, American pop remixes, not to forget the classic reggae standards thus the nickname “Bachata Rasta”.
